Women cannot be arrested before (1) evening 6 pm,, and after morning 6 am -
According to Criminal Code, Section 46, after 6 pm and before 6 am, no woman can be arrested by Indian police no matter how serious the crime is committed. If the police do that, they can complain against the arrested police officer. This could harm this police officer's job.
